Barbeque Joe’s

August 20th, 2008

Last Friday, August 15th, I was at Barbeque Joe’s (The Walk, IT Park) for the food trip that my blog mates and I have planned to do.We planned the food trip, but not the place where to eat, we were planning to eat at Case Verde with my team mates, but Casa Verde was so full and we were too famished, so we settled for what was available and for something that didn’t cost us too much of a pretty penny. The place was barely noticeable though, like there wasn’t even a sign, except for the sign taped on the glass door.

Ok, so I had the Chicken Barbeque 1/4 meal and some Green Mango shake to wash it all down. Click to see how it looks like and how much I paid for the meal.

What is your ISP?

August 18th, 2008

Mine is Smartbro. Up until like a month or so ago, my Internet has been doing really great. I don’t really need to have super fast Internet, since what I do is check my e-mails, post in forums, chat and well, occassionally watch videos over the Internet.

Oh, and let’s not forget, blog and extend communities. ;)

Well, since I’m out of the lock-in period of the ISP, I wanted to sign up for the other ISPs, since Smartbro isn’t offering anything better than 384kbps. I would’ve gone for the 768kbps plan of PLDT, but I held back because of a lot of PLDT’s subscribers have been complaining about how bad the service is. Just a few days ago, I went to ask about the service in the nearby Internet cafe, and well, the girl sitting behind the desk was super not pleased with the service.

“PLDT? Duha ka semana way Internet! Patay kaayo ang negosyo!” was what she had to say.

In English, “PLDT? Two weeks without Internet! Business is so dead!”

So needless to say, I was pretty :O and her comment of course scared me into not wanting to subscribe to PLDT. Now what about Globelines? I’ve had some techs bothering me into subscribing to Globelines, but from the forum that I’ve been posting and reading in, Globelines has a lot of subscribers in ther from all over Cebu complaining about how bad the service is, that Globelines has been too busy with getting more subscribers, but don’t care about how their current subscribers are thinking about their service.

So, what is your ISP, and how better is it from Smartbro?

New Blog Layout

August 16th, 2008

As much as I love the look of yichi’s theme, I just couldn’t keep it, because of the comment date error and well, I can’t get it to be centered. So I decided to go ahead and changed it to something blue. If you’ve been to my other blog, Chillaxin’, you’d be surprised at how blue it is. I love that theme and can’t imagine changing it. The only downside to it is that it’s on Blogger. Not that I don’t like Blogger. I love Blogger. If it weren’t for Blogger, I wouldn’t be in the blogging world.

I actually don’t know how to code in PHP, but I can do HTML coding and I know CSS as well. I know enough to notice that WordPress themes run on PHP functions and I have taken classes in C programming, so I guess that’s enough knowledge to know how to read and write PHP.

For now it still looks pretty much empty, but that should changed soon. I just hope I don’t get it too cluttered later on. :D

Show the Look!

August 16th, 2008

Ladies, when you see someone that you like or are interested in, do you have a certain look to gain their attention? When you give them the look, do they give you a look to match the one that you just gave them? Well, I’ve been playing this little game called the Ultimate Flirting Championship. There’s a widget posted along with this blog entry where you can also play the game.

When you flirt, it seems like, the better your hair is, the better they bite the bait. Now Extreme Style by VO5 game is a fun little game that can get you addicted especially if you are a bored little thing as well.

Well, my ‘look’ isn’t the best, but it gets people to look a lot of times still. :D

Aside from giving the look, from what I’ve seen people do, they also flirt with the way that they move, speak and even dress. Check out the game that I was talking about earlier.

For more widgets please visit www.yourminis.com

I’m the kind of person who gets bored very easily, so I like playing this game. And since you’ve already hopped by this blog, why not stay a little longer and play the game as well? I’m pretty sure that since you were looking to kill some time, kill it with the game.

Cebu Bloggers Meet Again

August 12th, 2008

Last Sunday, the 10th of August at around 2PM, I got out of the office and got on a jeepney right to about a few blocks away from the Ayala Center. It was time again for another meet up for the Cebu bloggers. :D

I slowly walked my way to the coffee shop and ordered myself a hot cafe mocha. So yummy, so delish. About ten minutes later, Kevin of http://marroxas2010.blogspot.com/ joined me, and then Winston of http://batangyagit.com/ joined us as well. Xerxes of http://obnoxiousqueer.com/ didn’t  take too long and joined us as well.

Since it’s been a while since I went online, I wasn’t getting too updated with who was coming to the meet up or not, so I was kinda surprised at the new face that came in next. McBilly of http://www.mcbilly.com/ came in to the coffee shop and  shook hands with us. How gentlemanly. :D

The night before the meet up, I finally acquired my camera, and I took a shot of the early birds: Read the rest of this entry »

Cebu Bloggers Meet Up at Bo’s

July 28th, 2008

Seems like the Cebu bloggers are finally picking up their feet and have finally agreed that it’s about time that blogging should be taken more seriously. This meet up had already been planned for about a month, but nobody really stepped up and finalized the plans. The scheduled date was on July 27th, a Sunday, at 2PM. The only problem is the bloggers weren’t really too sure about the location.

Geek Jam LAN Party in Cebu

July 25th, 2008

This is one party that I would really really love to go to. Seriously. I’m a nerd and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Haha. So, what is a LAN party? Well, according to this little pamphlet that I got from the press conference with Gov, Gwen Garcia,

A LAN party is a gathering of PC Gaming and Network enthusiasts for the purpose of playing multiplayer PC and/or online games. It is also a meeting of PC, gadget and game console enthusiasts who are looking to play games, share files and computer and gadget know-how, as well as to show and display their “rigs”, which is the normal term for PCs that are modified and customized to the owner’s taste and specifications, much like in a car show, only with PCs, laptops and game consoles.

Now that we’ve established what a LAN party is all about, what is the purpose of having this party then? Read the rest of this entry »

Discover Cebu Writing Contest

July 19th, 2008

I’m certainly leaning towards posting about Cebu now. And I really don’t mind. This post is pretty late too. I have decided not to enter the contests that I’m about to start posting on my blog, because well, I’m just way too busy with my personal life that I barely have anytime to update my blog. Full time blogging is fun, but right now I just need to focus on my real job. Anyway, this contest aims to promote Cebu in a way to highlight any tourist spots that you can find around Cebu, the cultural heritage and also the potential of the cities and towns of Cebu in the business field.

The contest is open to all individuals, students, professionals and bloggers. In short, just about anybody who has access to a computer.

Read up on the mechanics now.
